Monaleen 3-8 Mungret St. Pauls 2-6

Mungret St. Pauls traveled to Mick Neville Park on Monday 4 October where they were met with Monaleen. Mungret St. Pauls had a very slow start in the first half with Monaleen dictating the play. Mungret St. Pauls got a point in just before the half time whistle while Monaleen had built up a 2-7 lead.

The scond half saw Mungret St. Pauls come to life and getting in a goal and a point before Monaleen knew the game had begun. The gap kept closing with Monaleen not getting any chance on scoring leaving Mungret St. Pauls to dictate play bring the gap back to only a goal dividing the two teams but in the dying minutes of the second half Mungret St. Pauls conseeded a goal to reply with a goal of their own but they just did not get the gap closed down and after working so hard to close in on Monaleen they almost got there but the final whistle saw an end to the Minors hard battle. Well done to all the players and mentors we look forward to seeing this high standard of football again next year.
