Mungret St Pauls 1-17 Na Piarsaigh 2-11
With a slight breeze and the warm sunshine the U-16 Hurlers faced into their 5th match in the Championship on Monday 15 August welcoming Na Piarsaigh to Mungret. This was a match where no love is lost between the two teams and both needed the win. Na Pairsaigh took an early lead on the score board while Mungret St. Pauls took most of their score from frees until they settled into the physical game and some great scores came in from play. Having taking the lead at half time Mungret St. Pauls had to put it up to Na Piarsaigh if they were to take the win. The players took to the pitch with more determination and held the lead with some great work in the defense as Na Piarsaighs tried for goals. Mungret St. Pauls had the upperhand and kept their minds on the game.
