Mungret St. Pauls 8-12 St. Kierans 1-0
Mungret St. Pauls U11 were out last Saturday morning for a home game against St. Kieran's. We had 19 players in attendance. The first 10 minutes was a low scoring affair with Mungret St. Pauls missing some good opportunities and being a little wasteful. However in the final minutes of the first half Mungret St. Pauls got their shooting boots on and went in at half time 3-4 to no score. The second half was better in consistency with Mungret St. Pauls dominating the scoreboard. There was some excellent individual and team scores and Mungret St. Pauls ran out 8-12 to 1-0. There were some performances worthy of note with Diarmuid Hynes, Conor Morgan, Conor Johnston, Mark o Brien, Fintin Fitz, John Wright all standing out. Conor Galligan deserve mention for his bravery in a hefty challenge where he showed great determination for his team. Jake Foley played well in goal while keeping all entertained with a sojourn out the field on one occasion. Sean Morrissey played well on his return while Denis Dwyer and Evan McInerney did very well when called on. It is a great testament to all players involved in the six games that we are unbeaten to date. Again I would like to thank all parents for the support they have given team during the summer league. There will be a finals day in September to be organised by Limerick Gaa. Panel on the day was Conor Morgan,Jake Foley, Darragh Johnston, Conor Johnston, James Corcoran,Christy Carroll, Fintin Fitzgerald, Luke Walsh, Sean Cronin, Mark o Brien, John Wright, Diarmuid Hynes, Muiris Ahern, Adam Dore, Denis Dwyer, Sean Morrissey, Conor Galligan, Conor Hurley, Evan McInerney.
