Askeaton, Ballysteen, Kilcornan 4-7 Mungret St. Pauls 4-6
It was a perfect night for a match and Mungret St. Pauls welcomed the Askeaton, Ballysteen, Kilcornan combined team to the pitch on 10 August 2016. The Mungret St. Pauls team played with their heart, they had to win this match to stay in the running for the cup but Askeaton, Ballysteen, Kilcornan were not going to let them take easy shots and were there at every turn. Both teams had great touch on the ball and took opportunities on goals when possible. The half time ended on a level low score 1-1 to 0-4. Coming back out both teams stepped it up and Mungret St. Pauls were unfortunate to miss out on a win by one point.
This result sees them out of the running for the cup and in a good position for the shield if they keep up their hard work at training.

Rathkeale 4-5 Mungret St. Pauls 2-6
While the Division 1 game was being played the U-14 Division 3 team were in the Bog Garden playing Rathkeale they put up a great game to Rathkeale who proved to be stronger on the goal scoring. This team have taken on the U14 teams, giving everyhting they have on the pitch and never giving up. This will stand to them in their own U-13 matches.
