Mungret St. Pauls 5-11 Newcastle West 1-5
On a wet Monday 25 July the U-16s took the road to Newcastle West. There was a slow start with the ball testing out both ends of the pitch before it settled for the first score as a point for Mungret St. Pauls. This was a lovely game to watch where direct hand pass was needed and the Mungret St. Pauls players were well on target. There was no bounce on the slippy grass but our players seemed to adapt to the wet pitch better than Newcastle West. Taking an early lead our boys never lost it and took the opportunities when they could to put the ball in the net. One of the better matches for these guys we hope they bring that to the last few games ahead of them this year.
