Mungret St. Pauls 2-17 Claughaun Old Christians 0-10
With the summer rain falling the intermediates were in Clarina for their match against Claughaun Old Christians. The sliotar was in constant motion from the off. With Mungret St. Pauls making the impact first, the score evened out and both teams settled into the game. There were some quick thinking passes through out the game which produced some lovely points. It was the goal in the first half for Mungret St. Pauls that turned the game and with only five points in the lead going in at half time as usual a lot of work was still to be done.
The team did not disappoint and kept their concentration on the target the two points for a win in the table. A substitution seemed to have brought a new lease of life to the team and the points along with a second goal were making a bigger target for Claughaun Old Christians to reach in the second half. Well done to the team on a great game and thank you to all the supporters who came out in the miserable rain.
