Mungret St. Pauls 0-20 Ballybrown 3-23
This was the game of the season for the Premier Minor Hurlers with the LIT Gaelic Grounds in perfect condition and the nice warm weather it was the perfect setting on Wednesday 16 September 2020 when they met Ballybrown in the County Final.
Mungret St. Pauls settled into the game first and had 3 points up before Ballybrown got a chance to reply. Mungret St. Pauls edged ahead with another 2 points and an attack on the Ballybrown goal was stopped short. Ballybrown quickly caught up on the score board as the ball was struck hard into the back of the net. It then ended up a tit for tat game as both sides leveled six times before the half time break, where the score was 0-14 to 1-11.

Ballybrown gained control at the restart as they took the lead with a point, this was shortly followed up with a goal from a penalty, Mungret St. Pauls hit back with two points to keep with in 2 points. There was an exchange of points but Ballybrown had the edge and with another 2 points before the second water break Ballybrown had a four point lead that Mungret St. Pauls struggled to catch up with. Back from the water break and Ballybrown struck the clincher as they stuck the ball into the net for the third time, Mungret St. Pauls' only reply was with 2 pointed frees while Ballybrown continued to score another seven points to confirm their County title win.

Our players should be delighted with their performance, this really was a game of skill and Mungret St. Pauls were just unfortunate to come off second place. Each player has given everything they have to the sport since the season restarted and they have put a lot of work into getting to the final, they have made their parents, relations, club members and supporters very proud of them and the game they played in the LIT Gaelic Grounds.
