Mungret St. Pauls 1-09 Murroe Boher 0-8

On a lovely sunny Sunday 13 September 2020 in Doon our Limerick Motor Centre sponsored Intermediate Ladies Football team came up against a skilled Murroe Boher team in the County Semi Final.

Both sides got off the mark slowly with a free each, these were the only scores by the water break. Mungret St. Pauls then took a 2 point lead only for Murroe Boher to catch up. By the half time whistle Mungret St. Pauls had powered ahead scoring a goal and 2 more points.

At the restart Murroe Boher came out with determination and scored another 2 points, narrowing the gap to three points. Mungret St. Pauls equaled Murroe Bohers 2 points. Again after the water break Murroe Boher hit back and tacked on another 3 points, Mungret St. Pauls put it up to Murroe Boher and scored another 2 points to strengthen their lead and eventually win.

Throughout the game Mungret St. Pauls defense work was excellent not letting many balls getting past but when the did they were quickly secured and safely sent back out the pitch. There was great turnover and winning the ball in the kick outs. This win puts Mungret St. Pauls into the Final when they will play Drom Broadford.
