On a glorious Autumn evening ideal for football, our U8 and U10 girls played a series of matches against their counterparts from Ahane at the main club complex. This was a welcome return to match action for the girls whose last game was in UL back in March and prior to lockdown, which seems like a lifetime ago now. Since the U10s returned to training in July however, they have put in great work on the training pitch on Saturday mornings which was very evident in the quality of the football produced on Wednesday night.

We would like to thank Ahane for making the trip to Mungret in such great numbers. As always when these side meet, the games were tough and competitive, with no little skill on show from both sides, and always played in the right spirit. Football training continues every Saturday morning for U6/ 8/ 10 at the Village pitch at 11am – new members always welcome! Our next match for U8 and U10 is on Wednesday 16 September 2020 in Mungret v St. Ailbes, time TBC.
