Mungret St. Pauls 1-7 St. Patricks 3-6

On Monday 7 September 2020 in Rhebogue on a wet miserable day our Junior B footballers lined out for their first round match where they met a tough opposition.

Mungret St. Pauls had a bit of a slow start but were first off the mark with 2 points, St. Patricks were quick on their return with a close range goal and a point, both sides pointed again before St. Patricks took a strong lead before the water break with their second goal scored and a pointed free. The last quarter was where Mungret St. Pauls brought themselves closer to St. Patricks score with a great ball across the goal and into the back of the net for their only goal of the match which was joined with a point from play.

Mungret St. Pauls were first to score again before St. Patricks widened the gap again with two additional points. Mungret St. Pauls only had 2 more points in them and with a slip up at the goal, St. Patricks got their third goal finishing off with their last point from the field.
