Mungret St. Pauls 2-8 Oola 2-12

We travelled to Oola last Wednesday 26 August 2020 for our 1st game in the U14 Football Championship. Oola got off to the better start but we gradually got into the pace of the game and we shot 1.06 in the 1st half to lead by two points at the break. Oola started the second half the better and they took the lead with a goal but we were very unlucky not the hit the net on two occasions only to be denied by the cross-bar and upright. We lost a player for 10 mins to the sin bin but we still worked very hard.

It was close right to the end and we pulled a goal back but Oola finished that bit stronger and won out by 4 points. Final score 2.13 to 2.09. It was a spirited team performance from our boys and they are showing continuous improvement. Our next game is against Monaleen.
