Our U14's kicked off their league competition with two wins against Crecora & Croagh-Kilfinny. Last Tuesday we faced Crecora at home in the first league match of the season. Both sides were evenly matched. The standard of Camogie was very high and both teams battled hard with the lead changing hands a number of times. With a couple of minutes to go Crecora were ahead by two points but our girls never give up attitude was evident throughout and with less that a minute to go determination and will to win resulted in a fine worked goal and a one point win on a scoreline of 2-5 to 2-4. Tuesday saw us in Croagh to play our second match against Croagh Kilfinny. Our girls started the brighter and continued on this vain through the match with the number of our younger players on the panel getting their opportunity to shine as we ran out convincing winners on the night on a scoreline of 9-7 to 1-4. Well done to both players and mentors on an encouraging start to the season keep up the hard graft. Next outing for the U14's is next Tuesday V Templeglantine @6:30pm in Mary Immaculate College.
