The club welcomed a team of South African Rugby players to the pitch where they got a lesson on how to play hurling. Thank you to Conor and Cian O'Brien who took the session with the young players and with Mike Fitzgerald on the side line it looked like he was discussing a transfer to Limerick for one or two of the players who showed potential. Thank you also to Rob Nix, Paudie Kirby and Donie Browne who were on hand to help guide the men on the correct way to hold and strike the sliotar. There was great competition with the lads as they took part in a quick match but ended on a penalty shoot. The boys from Rondebosh Boys High School in Cape Town are on a rugby tour of Ireland they left Mungret St Pauls with a smile on their face and hopefully fond memories of playing the Irish Sport.
