Mungret St. Pauls 2-13 Na Piarsaigh 1-12

On a sunny day in Clarina, Tuesday 17 September 2019 Mungret St. Pauls played up the hill and into the sun in the first half but held their own and leveled at half time, the second half was where they put Na Piarsaigh to the test and came out on top to go through to the final against St. Patricks.

Na Piarsaigh did not take long to get their scores up as only 7 minutes into the game they already had a goal and two points up to Mungret St. Pauls one point. There was another 2 points to Na Piarsaigh and just before the ten minute mark Mungret St. Pauls hit back with their own goal which spured on the team to level the score by the first quarter. Mungret St. Pauls tried again for another goal but the Na Piarsaigh goalie got to the ball quick and knocked it back out to play. There were another 2 points each before the half time whistle.

In the second half Mungret St. Pauls started out with 2 great points, Na Piarsaigh kicked a ball over before Mungret St. Pauls scored another 2 points. A repeat of the last 3 points gave Mungret St. Pauls a 4 points lead, Na Piarsaigh put in a strong 4 minutes scoring a point in each minute to level the game with only three minutes left on the clock. Mungret St. Pauls were not going to give up and they finished the game with another point and a final goal in injury time. The now go forward to play St. Patricks in the Final.
