Mungret St. Pauls 0-14 Patrickswell 0-14

Both sides get another day out and the supporters got great value for money when these two sides met in Claughaun on Sunday 15 September. The last time these two sides met Patrickswell were the victors with both sides loosing players to a higher team it was going to be a different game.

The game started with Patrickswell wideing 2 ball before they pin pointed their next shot, Mungret St. Pauls pointed themselves on the first go three minutes later. Another point each and then Mungret St. Pauls hit 2 extra, Patrickswell leveled the game again by the 18th minute and again three minutes later. Another 2 points each saw the two sides even scoring again, a chance came with the ball being dropped infront of the goal into a Mungret St. Pauls forward, he was quickly surrounded by the Patrickswell back line when he dropped the ball and kicked it into the net to bring Mungret St. Pauls into a small lead as Patrickwell went to point just before the whistle.

It went point for point again 3 more times, Patrickswell upped their game and leveled the game again just going into the final quarter of the game. It took ten minutes for both sides to point 2 more ball each, with time ticking away both teams were hitting hail Mary shots as they hoped for a small lead to bring them through to the Final. Patricks well pointed from a free, Mungret St. Pauls took the goalie out to strike a free from his own 30 yard line, the distance was there but unfortunately the ball went to the left of the posts. Another up and back on the pitch and Mungret St. Pauls were awarded the final free and puck of the game, no pressure on our free taker as he stood on the 45 line and calmly hit the ball which seemed to move in slow motion as it soared over the crossbar. A draw again when the final whistle was blown, we meet again to play it all again. Our players ran their supporters through many emotions on the day and they received a rousing round of applause as they came off the pitch.
