Mungret St. Pauls 5-14 Muroe Boher 2-20
In Boher on Sunday 8 September 2019 the Limerick Motor Centre sponsored Premier Intermediate hurlers played their last league match in Division 2. This game looked like it was lost by half time with Mungret St.Pauls behind by 7 points but it was a game of two very different halves as Mungret St. Pauls played a better game to close the gap and win by 3 points.

Muroe Boher started with a quick lead, going 3 up before Mungret St. Pauls sent a ball in that went over the goalies head and into the back of the net. Both sides matched each others points with Muroe Boher hitting the back of the net to lead. Mungret St. Pauls pointed from a free with Muroe Boher going on and scoring 3 more times. There was a lot of work put into the play on the field which lead to a clean goal for Mungret St. Pauls, there was another point each before there was a bit of a gap in scores as both sides missed their targets. Muroe Boher finished the half out with an additional 5 point leaving them 1-13 to Mungret St. Pauls 2-3.

The second half was Mungret St. Pauls game as they came back fighting quickly gaining the lead as they went point and goal twice. Muroe Boher pointed on the seventh minute to level the game again. Mungret St. Pauls pointed 3 balls to Muroe Bohers one point twice in the next 10 minutes of play. The next 8 points were shared between the teams and the game going into injury time Mungret St. Pauls struck for the final time with a goal. Muroe Boher were given a last minute free infront of the goals but the quick reaction of our goalie kept the ball in play until the final whistle.
Mungret St. Pauls are the only ones in the league group to have completed all their matches while they currently sit in third place this will change as the rest of the games are played but Mungret St. Pauls can now concentrate on their Championship matches.
