Mungret St. Pauls 1-10 Pallasgreen 2-8

This was a tight game, Limerick Motor Centre sponsored Intermediate Football pulled ahead with a 3 point lead at half time but Pallasgreen edged forward and took the game in Mungret on Saturday 2 March 2019.

Pallasgreen opened the game with a point, a free for Mungret St. Pauls equaled the game. Pallasgreen struck again, this time it was a harder hit as they stuck the ball into the back of the net. Just before the first quarter of the game Mungret St. Pauls pointed another free and scored their own goal to go a point ahead. The game went on point for point with Mungret St. Pauls scoring 3 in a row to give them the 3 point lead going in on the break.

The second half saw another point a piece. 2 additional quick points for Mungret St. Pauls saw them ahead with 5 points. Pallasgreen came back and took another point, a shot on goal was fantastically saved but a goal was scored on the rebound for Pallasgreen, Mungret had a one point lead that they needed to hold onto. Mungret St. Pauls last point came from another free and it was from here that their scoring let them down and Pallasgreen took over securing another 2 points to level the field. Pallasgreens last chance they went for a goal but again another great save sent the ball over the bar to see Pallasgreen with the win . The Intermediate Footballers are out again next Saturday against Ballylanders.
