Mungret St. Pauls 4-21 Southside Gaels 1-7

On a cold Friday 7 September in Mungret the U-16 hurlers played their last group match with a rewarding score line. Southside Gaels opened the game with a quick point but it would take them another 25 minutes and 5 wides before they would score again from a free. In this this Mungret St. Pauls secured 3 goals and 8 points with only one point from a free. This team really pulled together and kept their head but once Southside Gaels got into their stride they pointed another 3 balls unanswered with Mungret St. Pauls finishing the half with 2 more points. The second half was much the same, after Mungret St. Pauls opened with 2 points Southside Gaels scored their only goal. Mungret St. Pauls U-16 team are not ones to sit back they plugged away on the score board with Southside Gaels remaining scores only coming from frees, Mungret St. Pauls were scoring from a wide variety of angles. This team finish the group stages with no losses leaving them on top of the table preparing for the Semi Final.
