Mungret St. Pauls 3-15 St. Patricks 3-4
In Mungret on Thursday 5 June Mungret St. Pauls and St. Patricks who had already met earlier in the year with the visitors taking the win.
Mungret St. Pauls took an early lead but 2 goals from St. Patricks made little of the 2 points Mungret St. Pauls had worked up. St. Patricks kept the pressure on for the first half leaving little chances for Mungret St. Pauls to score. A lucky chance for Mungret St. Pauls just before the whistle left them better off when the ball hit the net to leave them 1-5 to St. Patricks 2-4.
The second half was a different game. The first 10 minutes of the second half St. Patricks were sending the ball to the wrong side of the uprights which kept Mungret St.Pauls in the game and then they worked the ball up the field to score a point, the scoring for Mungret St. Pauls went unanswered for most of the remainder of the game building up 1-14 to St. Patricks half time score of 2-4. Mungret St. Pauls were in full control and then a penalty was awarded with the goalie going the wrong side Mungret St. Pauls expanded their lead followed by 2 more points. A foul infront of our goals gave St. Patricks first score in this half with Mungret St. Pauls cancelling it out a few minutes later with their last goal of the match.
