The Mike O'Connell sponsored Junior B Football League Final took place on Wednesday 6 June in Rathbane when Mungret St. Pauls played St. Patricks. They had met each other earlier in the league and Mungret St. Pauls came off the worse from that encounter. Knowing what was ahead of them Mungret St. Pauls were prepared and stood up to St. Patrick's. In the previous match Mungret St. Pauls pointed 11 times they increased that with 2 more and held St. Patrick's off to score one lass goal and point which showed an improvement in Mungret St. Pauls game eventhough they came off second place.
