Mungret St. Pauls 0-12 Ballybrown 2-21
This was the first in the Senior Championship for our young Intermediate team on Tuesday 29 May
Mungret St. Pauls were first to try for a score but all three went left of the upright and it was a free that secured their first point after Ballybrown had already pointed 2 balls. 3 more points for Ballybrown and both teams matched each other with wides and points with Ballybrown going a bit more, by half time there was only 5 points in it. 
The second half Ballybrown started stronger and it took Mungret St. Pauls a bit longer to settle back into the stride of the game with a well taken free. Ballybrown then managed to break through the defences and leave the sliotar in the back of the net. Ballybrown were controlling the play with Mungret St. Pauls taking their chances when they could and putting a lot of work in the defences. 
Mungret St. Pauls will take on board what they have learned from this match and will be stronger for it.
