Mungret St. Pauls 2-19 Bruff 2-12
On Friday 20 April the Minor hurlers traveled in the sunshine to Bruff in their first competitive match of the year.A mixed game as Mungret St. Pauls pulled out of the traps first but lost momentum before the whistle only to pull it back in the second half.
Mungret St. Pauls were first to score and added a goal early in the game which gave them a great start but with frees Bruff came back into the game. 6 wides to Mungret St. Pauls followed while Bruff were pointing mainly from frees. Mungret St. Pauls first scoring free came just on the whistle leaving them 2 points behind.
At the restart it was much the same game, it was not until the 40th minute that the game came to life for Mungret St. Pauls and they applied themselves to the game at hand, putting over 9 points to Bruffs 2 and then a fumble at the goal saw Mungret St Pauls second goal followed by another 4 points until in a last ditch attempt by Bruff gave them their second goal but not enough to take the lead leaving Mungret St Pauls the victors.
