December 2017 was when this team started training for the 2018 League Championship and Féile. In all weathers, nothing hindered these girls getting on with their training sessions.
They have played 2 challenge matches against Co. Clare teams. The Banner ladies traveled to us on a snowy Sunday 18 March where both teams showed great skill and determination and played out the game in full.
They then travelled to meet Doora Barefield on Thursday 29 March with a skeleton team of 15, they showed great pride in their game of football.
Mungret St. Pauls were confirmed winners of both matchs on very impressive score lines. The girls have played Monagea and Monaleen so far in their championship league games winning both.
Their Féile 2018 qualifiers were played on Sunday 15 April. The team travelled to Abbeyfeale where their group opponents were Fr. Caseys, Dromcolligher/ Broadford and Monagea.
The girls played 3 skilful matches with great determination and were the winners of all their games. They now go to the final for the féile 2018 qualifier and will play Ahane for the Eileen Carmody memorial cup on Sunday 22 April. Best of Luck to the girls.
