Mungret St. Pauls 1-13 Patrickswell 0-9
In the Gaelic Grounds on Tuesday 20 February Mungret St. Pauls opened the game with a goal while Patrickswell struck 2 points followed by a point a piece from frees and a third point from Mungret St. Pauls. There was about 10 minutes of play where the ball saw both ends of the pitch going the wrong side of the uprights until both teams got another point a piece with Patrickswell closing the half with their 5th point. Going in at half time there was a goal in it to Mungret St. Pauls.
The second half was a slow start for Patrickswell as Mungret St. Pauls built on their lead with 4 points before Patrickswell got a chance to reply with 2 points. While Patrickswell took many challenges to our goals but each one was expertly denied with the Well only getting one more point Mungret St. Pauls scored on most of their attempts and ended the game with a 6 point lead.
They now get a break until early March when they face Kilmallock in the last of the groups matches.
