On Sunday 18 February we had two teams out on pitches playing for their right to stay in the next stage in the Féile. First up we had the older team playing in Division 1 on the home pitch against Monaleen.
Mungret St. Pauls 0-4 Monaleen 0-2
The first half saw evenly matched teams with a draw at half time it could go either way in the second half but Mungret St. Pauls stood up to the challenges Monaleen gave them and brought the low scoring game in their favour bringing them forward to the Semi Final where they meet Newcastle West in Newcastle West on March 4 at 11am.

Mungret St. Pauls 2-3 Cappamore 1-3
On a dreary Sunday last our under 13 team took to the pitch to play Cappamore in the U14 Feile. We were missing a few players but had a panel of 18 for the game. The game started in a very competitive fashion with defenses on top. Our players were the physically smaller side but that did not inhibit them in any way.  We had some great interlinking play which resulted in a well taken Cian Baggot goal. We then conceded a soft goal ourselves which led the half time score to be 1-1 a piece.  In the second half we had to roll up our sleeves and we produced some great attacking play which resulted in a Muiris Ahern break away goal. Both teams exchanged a number of points before we had to defend a late onslaught on our goals with Conor Morgan, Brian Hassett and Jake Foley all made telling blocks to keep out the opposition.  Marcus Lyons was immense at centre back with our two midfielders John Wright and Cian Kinnevane putting their all into the game. Up front Mark O Brien, Luke Walsh and Diarmuid Hynes worked tirelessly and showed for everything. The final whistle came and we won out 2-4 to 1-4. It was a great team performance with players playing for each other and being fully committed to their team.  We have a bye in the next round.
One thing for our club to note I think the Hassetts have created history with both Jason and Brian captaining Feile A and B match winning teams respectively!!! Well done to them!
