Thank you to everyone that attended the AGM on Thursday last. The night opened with the secretaries report from the different divisions and committees. This was followed by a comprehensive treasurers report, with the Chairman Maurice Walsh having his final words as outgoing chairman. The election of officers did not see much change in the lower ranks. The outgoing Chairman, Maurice Walsh having put in 9 years on the top table having 6 years as secretary and the final 3 as Chairman, welcomed in Mike O'Connell as the new Chairman of the club. The treasurers roll which had been well looked after by Brendan Ryan is being handed over to Rob Donnelly with hope that Brendan will stay on as a guiding hand. The latter remain the same with just a change from John Rice to Maurice Walsh in the roll as Football rep. Secretary; Brian O'Halloran, PRO; Wanda Dwane, County Board Delegates; James O'Doherty and Ray Dowling, Child Welfare Officer; Trish Barry, Registrar; Colette O'Grady and Irish Officer; Anne Flannery Hayes.
We would like to Thank those who stood down from their rolls and appreciate their hard work over the years. We wish those who have taken up a new position all the best in their new rolls. Brian O'Halloran had great pleasure to inform those who attended that the contracts for the purchase of the land was ready to be signed. This should see us getting to work on the development in the next month, we would like to thank all involved in dealing with the land purchase and look forward to expanding our playing area.
Motions were the last to be heard with an agreement that all motions and rules of the club be adhered to. A change in the registration fee was agreed upon for the 2018 registration.
