Mungret St. Pauls 1-3 Rathkeale 0-13
This has been a hard Championship for our players. Their first match was at the end of October and then they had to play 2 matches in 3 days.
Mungret St. Pauls started off on the back foot on this match as Rathkeale held a 4 point lead before Mungret St. Pauls put up their first point followed closely by their second point. Rathkeale struck another 2 points before Mungret St. Pauls drove the ball up the field and settled it well into the back of the net. There were missed chances on both sides and a great save by our goalie kept the Rathkeale score to 4 points ahead at half time.
In the second half Rathkeale held possession of the ball with Mungret St. Pauls only getting one break to score successfully. They halted Rathkeale in their attempts on scoring only getting 4 points in this half.
Thank you to the players and mentors who now take a break until the new year when the U-21 Hurling resumes.
