Mungret St. Pauls 1-13 Bruff 2-14
A game too far for Mungret St. Pauls as they started on the back foot and trailed Bruff throughout the game on Saturday 18 November.
Bruff started out strong building up 5 points to Mungret St. Pauls one, in the 20th minute Mungret St. Pauls pulled back with an additional 2 points. Then Bruff shook the game up with a goal. Mungret St. Pauls reply was a point only for Bruff to stike again with their second goal acompanied with a point. With the lead getting further away Mungret St. Pauls did not give up the fight and matched Bruffs next three points with their own before the break.
Four minutes into the second half Mungret St. Pauls put in a great effort and struck the ball in the back of the net with an additional point. Another 2 points from Bruff saw Mungret St. Pauls come to life and pop 3 sliotars between the uprights bringing them to 3 points behind Bruff. Another point a piece until Bruff sealed the game off with their final 2 points of the game.
Well done to all our players it is big ask to play 2 big games in a week. A big thank you to the mentors for their time given to the Junior B's. They still have the City Cup to celebrate.
