Mungret St. Pauls 3-11 Newcastle West 3-9
It took extra time to see these two teams separate on Friday 22 September in Mick Neville Park, after a tight and well fought game, where the goals were changing the leaders in the game.
Newcastle West opened the game with a goal while Mungret St. Pauls reply was a point but, they soon changed the game when they followed that up with a goal and another point only for Newcastle West to score their second goal and reclaim the lead once more. Mungret St. Pauls did not hold back and after a tussle at the Newcastle West goal were awarded a penalty which rattled the net for Mungret St. Pauls second time handing the lead back over. Newcastle West passed a few balls over the Mungret St. Pauls cross bar to close the first half on a draw.
With a lot of the scores coming fast in the first half there was still a few more to come in the second when Mungret St. Pauls reconnected the ball to the back of the Newcastle West goal to hand back over control of the score board. With the lights coming on both sides the players kept adding point to the board with Mungret St. Pauls keeping the lead the last goal of the game equaled the score again minutes before the final whistle. 
With another game waiting to be played on the sideline extra time was confirmed and the teams joined each other again on the pitch. Cramp was being to set in on some of the players legs and the coldness of the night set in. The winners would be the players who can stay on their feet and get the points over the bar. Mungret St. Pauls were putting everything into the game and edged ahead with 2 points they held on tight to this until the final whistle. 
Mungret St. Pauls now face Monaleen in the Premier County Final.
