We have had three games in the past week and half. The reds had 2 and whites one. The first game for reds was against Adare in Adare. We were missing quite a few players for this game due to holidays but managed  to get a team out. We started reasonably well being competitive throughout but were overcome by a better playing Adare team 4-8 to 1-4. It was our first game in a few weeks and it showed that players struggled to get the pace of the game. On Monday last, the Reds were out against Monaleen in Mungret in this game we had more players available and ran out easy winners 8-11 to 1-1 . It was very one sided but our players were much improved on the previous game and played very well. This concluded phase 2 of under 12 league in division 1A finishing second to Adare and qualifying for semifinals.
In division 1B The Whites were out against Bruree last Thursday, this was a tough, physical game which benefited our players. There was some good football on show by both teams. Mungret played very well and ran out ahead 4-8 to 1-4. The Whites have their last phase 2 game on Monday next in Mungret against Oola. They have 2 wins from 2 so are on course to qualify for finals stages of u12 league also.
