Mungret St. Pauls 9-14 Monaleen 0-1
On a sunny day in Monaleen, Wednesday 9 August Mungret St. Pauls held the reins on the game with Monaleen getting their only point in the first 10 minutes of the game it was all Mungret St. Pauls were going to allow them.
Mungret St. Pauls opened both halves with a goal and were on target for most of their scores hitting the crossbar a few times during the play. While it looked like Mungret St. Pauls played the game in the Monaleen half this was not the case as the Mungret St. Pauls backs were put under pressure at times and when needed they drew together and defended the goal. Monaleens backs were worked well having to keep on their toes but there were a few good saves pulled off by their goalie. This team still have another 2 games to play in the group.
Mungret St. Pauls 3-3 Adare 5-3
While our 14 players were in Monaleen our U-13 players were in Adare where they met the leaders of the table, our U-13 players had a great game where they represented themselves very well and worked the ball as a team up the field and pulled together to defend their goals. This was their last game in the group leaving it with 2 wins is fantastic for this young team preparing for their U-13 competition in a few weeks.
