On Saturday 1 July we had a great day full of GAA. During the day we had some great displays of skill by all sections. The highlight of this was the U-12 Camogie match where they put in an enormous amount of work into the game and it payed off when they beat Crecora in their challenge match, the first time quite while to achieve. Keep up the great work girls. At 6pm the scheduled Division 3 match in football against Galtee Gaels were ahead, there is a separate report on this match but we are delighted to have a win in that game. It was next up for the Premier Intermediates when they took on Clares Clooney Quinn and having loaned a player to the Clare side it was great to see both teams getting stuck in.
Every one was welcome into the club house for food and refreshments and then it was a cue for Donal Fitzgibbon to take to the microphone and present some fantastic certificates to the officers of the past who wore the battle scars of being in office in Mungret St. Pauls during the 30 year period.
This was where we officially launched the commemorative book compiled by Gerry McNamara ( who is available at a reasonable price to autograph your copy) of the history of the last 30 years since the Community Centre was built. Well worth a read- guaranteed you will find something about the club or the people in the club that you never knew before.
At a great price of only €10. Get your copy now before they are gone.

Thank you to everyone who helped compile it with words, wisdom or pictures. A special Thank You to Gerry McNamara who took on this task and put a lot of hard work into it.
The night was topped off with a rare video from the official opening of the club house 30 years ago and some lively music playing in the lounge.
Thank you to every one to attended during the day and at night to help the club in our milestone celebration.
