The team travelled to Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale on Tuesday 30th May for the U10 Community Games football final where they took on Monaleen, a repeat of last year's final. The boys were well up for it on the night and played fantastic football. It was played in 4 x 10 minute periods. We won the first two periods and led at the half way stage by 2 points. However, Monaleen got the better of us in the last 2 periods and went on to win the game. This is a very good Monaleen team and our boys were well up for the challenge. It’s a pity we didn’t get the win but our boys will learn valuable lessons from it. No doubt we will meet Monaleen again in further battles ahead and the experience gained in this competition will stand to them. Thanks to Coach Cian O' Donnell for helping Sean Ahern with the Team and to all parents for travelling to the Matches and bringing the boys to training.
