U12s Ladies Football Community Games - Regional Crowned County Champions
Regional were crowned county champions on Sunday evening last after an exciting final full of quality football against Bruff/Meanus/Grange. The opposition took an early lead with a cracking goal but the Regional girls fought back to lead by 2-2 to 1-1 at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter saw a quick fire hat trick of goals by Amy O'Halloran and Regional opened a nice 5-3 to 1-4 lead at halftime.
Bruff/Meanus/Grange never gave up and in the second half Regional's defence were tested to the extreme. They passed the test with flying colours which helped Regional close out the game by 7-4 to 3-5. All sixteen girls played significant parts in the victory and can be proud of their performances.
The team on the night was Amy Horgan, Amy O'Halloran, Anna Campbell, Aoife Lyons, Cliona Byrne, Eimear Greaney, Ella Page, EllaMay Roche, Emma O'Rourke, Faye O'Connor, Izzy Duggan, Jillian Buckley, Orla McCabe, Rachel Somers, Ruth Bolger and Saoirse Culhane Keogh.

U12s Ladies Football league vs Dromin/Athlacca/Banogue
Friday night last saw 22 of Mungret St Pauls's finest travel to Athlacca to face Dromin/Athlacca/Banogue in the final non-competitive game of the series. A feature of the game was some tremendous point scoring by our Mungret ladies. The two teams were evenly matched and the upcoming championship campaigns for both sides will only have benefited from this game. All of our 22 ladies got a good run out and played at least half the match.
