Although we had no U-12 club game, many of our girls represented Regional in this year's Community Games in an away fixture with Knockainey. The first half was a tight enough affair with Regional leading at the halftime break 2-3 to 0-2. A quick flurry of goals for Regional in a wind assisted third quarter settled matters although Knockainey had the best of the final quarter with the game finishing 5-5 to 1-6. The score line was a little flattering to Regional but they were deserved winners.
The team on the night was Izzy Duggan, Ella May Roche, Emma O'Dwyer, Ruth Bolger, Faye O'Connor, Saoirse Culhane Keogh, Jillian Buckley, Rachel Somers, Anna Campbell and Amy O’Halloran. They have now qualified for the semi-finals which will be played in the coming weeks. Well done girls
