Mungret St. Pauls 1-17 Kilmallock 1-16
An atmospheric match that came down to the last puck of the ball. The first half was quite uneventful with Mungret St. Pauls taking the lead early it was not long before Kilmallock fought back but left Mungret St. Pauls with a one point lead at half time.
The second half was a different game for both teams as Mungret St. Pauls were adding to their points Kilmallock started to chip away at the bit of a lead Mungret St. Pauls had built up and then Kilmallock took the lead. Mungret St. Pauls pushed on and it ended up in a point for point game. Mungret St. Pauls were the first to penetrate the net only for it to be reduplicated by Kilmallock. This lead into the most exciting 10 minutes of the game where every strike in the right direction got a reaction from the gathering supporters. It was known this match was going to be a thriller, it did not disappoint, Well done to our Minors who took their game to the next level and succeeded.
