It has to be noted that a much over due, big Thank you should go to John Furey for his commitment to managing the club bar. John has been an integral part of the bar and the clubhouse having come on board 21 years ago, he became manager 15 years ago and he now is taking on a well deserved retirement. It is not often we get as dedicated a volunteer as John Furey who took on this caretaker of the bar role with only the benefit of the club in mind. There are not many in the club who have entered the club house have not dealt with John. There are no words big enough to express the clubs Thanks to John for taking care of the club house which is the hub of the club. We wish John all the best in his future and are delighted to not lose him altogether as he will still be involved with his various committees.
In order to take over the various duties John managed on his own in the club house a committee has been assembled headed by Ger Synnott and we wish them well in their new journey.
