Saturday April 1st all roads lead to Mallow for the “Caman to Munster” U12 Camogie tournament. Mungret St Pauls were one of three clubs selected to represent Limerick at this prestigious event.
With 24 clubs and in excess of 300 girls from all over Munster in attendance this was a great learning experience for the panel of players attending. Playing teams from Cork (Kilbree & Valley Rovers) and Waterford (Butlerstown) in our section we acquitted ourselves very well and were extremely competitive in all games. A very positive experience was had by all and valuable sessions learned in terms of physicality, first touch control and ball striking which will stand to us going forward . We were represented on the day by Saoirse Casey, Caoimhe O’Rourke, Ella Page, Ellie Mulqueen, Roisin O’Gorman, Eibhlin O’Grady, Cliona Byrne, Faye O’Connor, Emma Fitzgerald, Amy O’Halloran, Aoife Long, Rachel Connolly, Erin O’Connell, Brooke Quinn. Panel were a credit to their club, county and families with the camogie, bus trip and visit to supermacs all contributing to a great day.
