Mungret St. Pauls 3-9 Newcastle West 1-3
It was great to see the U-14 hurlers take to the home pitch in their first match for Féile. They met with a tough Newcastle West side on Sunday 2 April. Having lost the toss it meant Mungret St. Pauls were to play against the strong breeze but they seem to not let it bother them as they were first to score but with the sliotar stuck at our goal end meant Newcastle west got to build on their score and it became a tight match with every point counting until Mungret St. Pauls got their chance on goal and this boasted them and left half time 1-3 to 0-4 to Mungret St. Pauls.
It was not over yet but in the second half the sliotar was kept in front the Newcastle West goals where the forwards took any chance they could on goals and succeeded notching up another 2 goals and 5 points, leaving Newcastle West short with only a goal scored in this half. The Mungret St. Pauls side see themselves into a Semi final now.
