Last Thursday saw the completion of the very successful U-12 Spring Hurling League held in St. Patricks GAA grounds, under floodlight. Over the four weeks of matches all players on the night got to play two matches. We had two teams. In the early part of the league the teams were split into an A and B team and the last two weeks we balanced the teams in a way that would make all four games on the night competitive. The Group 3 team played Murroe Boher, Ballinacurra Gaels and Kildimo Pallaskenry. In Group 1 the team played Murroe Boher, Monaleen and St Patricks and on the last night played Ballybrown and Na Piarsaigh. Thanks to all players and parents who turned up over the duration of the Spring League and braved some of the cold nights to support the players. This was very successful as the coaches were able to provide two games every night to all players, players were played in different positions to their normal position and we were able to move players between the two teams. U-12 training has now moved to the Juvenile Pitch on Tuesday’s at 6pm to 7pm starting March 28.
